The Palace contains a notable wealth of tiles, with particular focus on the Sala dos Paneles Holandeses, the Gallery of Arts and the Sala das Batalhas where painted tiles depict the story of the 1st Marquês de Fronteira, hero of the Restoration War.
Palace and gardens, also magnificent, are classified as a National Monument and can be rented for events.
