The Church and Monastery of São Bento da Vitória were built by Benedictine monks, and completed around 1690. The project was drawn up by the architect Diogo Marques.
His style is classic with baroque touches. Its distinguishing features are the choir decoration, which is one of the best in Portugal, and includes thirty wooden frames embossed with a rococo frame. From 1990 onwards, it became a stage for cultural events such as the concerts of the Oporto National Orchestra.
The Monastery has a flexible capacity, according to the nature of the activities to be carried out: Audience/Concert: 320 people; Seated dinner: 500 people; Flying dinner/other initiatives: 700 people.
There is an ideal space for every event. That's why we have an exclusive and varied range of venues.
